Review: Hardcore Vol. 1 by Staci Hart

23210748You ever been completely pissed off at a bunch of words? This novella made me almost throw my iPad across the room. Why? Staci Hart, wrote an AHHHHHH-mazing book. The first few pages had me hooked. The entire starting point made me curious to know what the heck was going on. I sat there for a minute and wondered, “Did I buy the right book? What the fudge on a stick is happening right now? Oh whoa, sexy times! Oh oh, this character is hilarious.” and I continued mumbling to myself like a crazy person. 🙂

It’s a fresh, compelling and intense book. I can’t say I’ve read anything like it before. I needed more and you’re damn right I bought the second volume right after. (But let’s focus on volume one right now) It has romance, sex, secrets and tension. There’s mutual respect between a lot of characters, and bonding. There is also some big wow factors in this book and themes you might not have expected to read. I was captivated and loved each part of it.

I began to read on a Tuesday evening, when I finished and saw the time; Wednesday had arrived. I spent the entire night reading Hardcore, I couldn’t put the book down. As short as it might be, the relationships are driven and layered. The plot is as rich as the maple syrup I use for french toast. (That shit is rich) The cover art is freakin sweet too. As soon as I calmed down from my lack of the book I messaged Staci.

My cat wasn’t impressed with me moving her off my chair. She hissed at the disturbance but, Staci needed to know the truth! Hardcore will consume you, and you’re going to want it on your book shelf.
